School of Health Professions Marks its Ninth Year of Fitness for Parkinson’s

The School of Health Professions is celebrating its ninth successful year offering the Fitness for Parkinson’s program, a group exercise program that focuses on helping people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) maintain and improve their endurance, balance, strength and flexibility.  The program currently has a roster of 30 to 40 current clients, and has served over 100 people since its inception.

NEC Honors 48 LIU Brooklyn Student-Athletes for Academic Performance

The Northeast Conference announced its 2016 Fall Academic Award winners Thursday afternoon, including the fall Academic Honor Roll and the Commissioner’s Honor Roll. 48 LIU Brooklyn student-athletes were honored by the conference for their work in the classroom. The NEC championship-winning volleyball team had the highest percentage of athletes honored, as 11 of 12 team members, or 92 percent of the team, made the honor roll.
