School of Business hosted over 3,000 students and educators representing nearly 100 high schools for Virtual Enterprises International’s two-day New York State & New England Regional Business Plan Competition & Trade Show. New Research Examines HIV and Diabetes Treatment
Pharmacy faculty Briann Fischetti and Maria Longo Sorbera co-authored new research on treatment for patients living with Type 2 diabetes and HIV. Published in the Journal of Pharmacy Practice, the study examined different interactions that can result from combining antidiabetic medications and the antiretrovirals used to treat HIV patients.
LIU Wins Best of Long Island for 6th Straight Year
Long Island University made history in the annual Best of Long Island contest, earning four top honors and achieving an unprecedented sixth consecutive year of recognition, including being named Best College or University and Best College Sports Program. With this achievement, LIU now holds more Best of Long Island awards than any other college or university in the contest’s history.
