Keaton is an accomplished music producer, record executive, audio engineer and DJ who works with the music industry’s top artists, spanning from JAY-Z to Rihanna to Mariah Carey. He has garnered multiple Grammy nominations, and in 2019 Keaton won a Grammy Award for Best Urban Contemporary Album for mixing the album Everything Is Love by The Carters.
Keaton co-founded and co-leads the label Jamla, which houses Grammy nominated and critically acclaimed lyricist Rapsody, and newcomers Reuben Vincent and Ian Kelly.

Sharks Track & Field Champions Recognized for Excellence
Men’s and women’s outdoor track and field athletes left their mark on the Northeast Conference in 2022 with 17 All-Conference honorees across all events. Sprinter Tara Hernandez was named Most Outstanding Performer for winning four events at the conference championship meet and distance runner Elyas Ayyoub took home Most Outstanding Rookie for winning two events at the conference championship.
Planning Specialist to Lead Luxury Rental Development
Sean Sallie ’11 was appointed as director of planning and development for Heatherwood Luxury Rentals, one of the largest developers of apartment communities on Long Island. Sallie’s 20-year background in urban planning includes serving as the deputy commissioner for planning at the Nassau County Department of Public Works.
School Business Expert Appointed as Superintendent
Michael Fabiano ’09 was selected as the assistant superintendent for business for the Levittown Public School District. Fabiano served as assistant superintendent for business for the past 12 years in the Floral Park-Bellerose School District and is a past president of the executive board of the Nassau Association of School Business Officials.
NIH Grant Funds Groundbreaking Study on Substance Use
Dr. Victor Lushin, professor in the department of social work, earned a grant from the National Institutes of Health to study the social determinants of substance use disorder treatment outcomes among individuals on the autism spectrum. The study is the first in the U.S. to explore the epidemiology of substance use disorders in this potentially hidden at-risk population.

Brookville, NY, (June 8, 2022): The Roosevelt School and the Society of Presidential Descendants today announced they will host an inaugural gala, honoring Doris Kearns Goodwin, a leading presidential historian, Pulitzer Prize winner and New York Times #1 best-selling author, for her career achievements.
The inaugural event will be held on June 11 at the LIU Post campus in Brookville. The schedule of events includes:
- Panel discussions led by the Society of Presidential Descendants entitled “Living in the White House,” featuring personal stories of the Descendants’ ancestors and reflections on their leadership.
- Symposium titled “What You Don’t Know About Theodore Roosevelt” on the personal life and legacy of President Theodore Roosevelt hosted by his great-grandson Tweed Roosevelt, president and co-founder of The Society of Presidential Descendants, and chairman and professor at The Roosevelt School.
