Loida Garcia-Febo, a PhD candidate in the Palmer School of Library and Information Science, has been awarded the 2024 American Library Association’s (ALA) Medal of Excellence Award. The annual award recognizes creative leadership, particularly in the fields of library management and training and the tools and techniques of librarianship. Garcia-Febo is an International Library Consultant and previously served as president of the American Library Association.
