The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office appointed Perry Williams, director of the sports management program at LIU, as a special deputy to serve as a mentor in the department’s youth initiatives. Williams is well known for dedicating his post-football career to community service and education. He brings a unique perspective to his students and mentees as a highly successful collegiate and professional athlete, having won two Super Bowls in his nine-year career with the New York Giants.
