Zaina Arafat authored a personal essay for The New Yorker entitled “Fasting for Ramadan While Gaza Goes Hungry.” Arafat is an award-winning author whose stories and essays have appeared in a number of national publications, including the NewYork Times, Washington Post, New York Magazine, The Atlantic, Harper’s Bazaar, BuzzFeed, VICE and NPR.
