LIU men’s ice hockey forward Jack Quinn was named one of 5 finalists for the Hockey Humanitarian Award. The award is presented each year to college hockey’s finest citizen — a student-athlete who makes significant contributions not only to his or her team, but also to the community through leadership in volunteerism. Quinn, the Sharks’ team captain, joins an impressive list of other nominees from top hockey programs across the country, including Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Syracuse. The winner will be announced in April at the NCAA Men’s Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minnesota.
