Mona El Gendi ’21 received the National Institute of Health’s Postbaccalaureate Research Training Award, which provides funding and research support for recent graduates who plan to pursue an MD or PhD. El Gendi graduated early from the Honors College, was the winner of the University’s 2021 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, and served as president of the Alpha Chi Honors Society.
