Senior Lydia Fraga Cordoba, goalkeeper for the women’s soccer team, was named the Defensive Player of the Week, becoming the second Shark to earn the honor in as many weeks. The Northeast Conference awarded Cordoba after a five-save shutout including a penalty kick stop in the 52nd minute against Stony Brook University.
