The LIU women’s hockey team defended its title as New England Women’s Hockey Alliance champions by defeating Sacred Heart University for the Commissioner’s Cup. The Sharks earned their second straight conference title in their first two years in existence. Team captain Matilda af Bjur netted three goals and an assist while winning 15 of 22 faceoffs in the title game.
