Hall Of Fame Inducts LIU Lacrosse Coach
Meghan McNamara, head coach of the LIU women’s lacrosse team, will be inducted into the Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Foundation Hall of Fame. McNamara is now in her 16th season leading the Sharks. LIU captured two NCAA national championships and won five East Coast Conference titles during that time.
Soccer Standout To Cover Men’s National Team at World Cup
Erin Fish ’16 will cover the U.S. Men’s National Team in Qatar in the upcoming World Cup as a digital content creator for FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), the international governing body of soccer’s national associations. Fish is manager of marketing and media production with Special Olympics Massachusetts.

Conor Reeves ’11 was recently recognized among the nation’s top 1,000 next-generation wealth managers on the 2022 Forbes “Best-in-State Next-Generation Wealth Advisors” list. The honorees were all born in 1983 or later and are part of the new generation that is excelling in the industry.

Fellowship in Immunology Awarded to Professor
Xiaolei Tang, M.D., Ph.D., associate professor with the College of Veterinary Medicine, has been awarded a Careers in Immunology Fellowship from the American Association of Immunologists. Dr. Tang’s research interests include regulatory T (Treg) cells and the immune system’s role in tissue repair.

ABC Reporter Wins 4th Emmy Award
Josh Margolin ’92, Chief Investigative Reporter at ABC News, won his 4th Emmy Award for outstanding edited interview on 20/20. Margolin’s daughter, Rebecca, is a Class of 2024 Honors Student and Dean’s Scholar in Long Island University’s School of Business.
Roosevelt School Partners with Reagan Presidential Foundation
Roosevelt School partnered with the Reagan Presidential Foundation and Council on Foreign Relations to host a Model Diplomacy Simulation on National Civics Day. High School students participated in a Situation Room simulation with historical and hypothetical scenarios based on global issues, informed by content experts.
