The Lancet Publishes Professor’s Parkinson’s Research

Dr. Gemma Moya-Galé, Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences & Disorders, co-authored a study published on EClincicalMedicine, part of The Lancet, one of the world’s oldest and best-known general medical journals. The study’s findings provide the first randomized control trial (RCT) evidence that intensive speech treatment targeting voice improves speech intelligibility in Parkinson’s Disease. Dr. Moya-Galé’s current research paper has also been accepted for publication in Perspectives of the ASHA Special Interests Groups (Gerontology).
